Musee Platinum Tokyo IPL Promotion at Millenia Walk


I found out today that IPL isn't as scary as I thought it'd be.

There's this new place in town called Musee Platinum Tokyo that provides solely IPL services for women only. 


I saw this promo and grabbed the chance to give IPL a try. $188 unlimited IPL is really a bargain!! And this is without hidden cost. $188 inclusive of GST and unlimited times for the rest of your life. Unlimited meaning 2 months apart for each session for the 1st 2 years and 3 months apart thereafter for the rest of your life or until all your hair are permanently gone. ;) (promo ends 30 Jun 2010)

Prior to the IPL procedure, it's best to stop shaving a few days before and to avoid alcohol 24 hrs before too.

The procedure was simple and fast. The staff were really friendly and helpful in explaining each step and they didn't hard sell at all. 

I have read IPL reviews that mentioned the pain can be compared to ant bites or rubber bands snapping. It was described as "bearable" but I'll say it's almost painless! For a pain-phobic like myself, I'll rate it 1 on the scale of 10! 5-6 zaps each side and it was over. Cooling gel will be applied before the treatment and cooling pads will be given after that too.

The treatment rooms are clean, neat and comforting. Customers will even be given a Musee blue tank top to wear for treatment.


I felt like I got a good deal even after parting with $188 this morning. I was given a mirror as a welcome gift and by quoting another customer's member no., I even got another upper lip treatment for free.

IPL is my new found love. It's way better than waxing! Fuss free, fast and almost painless!

    The results for myself isn't that obvious after the 1st session. The growth seems somewhat slowly and the skin is definitely smoother.

    Waiting for my 2nd session to see some more results! ;)

    yup, i read it from the forum and maybe you can give them a call.

    the results are good so far, hair grows out much slower and is much finer. this only showed after about 2 weeks after treatment.

    the nearest MRT is promenade (new circle line or city hall if you prefer the old line), the promenade station is so convenient, the exit is right next to Millenium Walk! ;)

    yup, about 2 weeks after the 1st treatment, the hair growth is much slower and also finer.

    i think no difference in colour of underarms and i have no ingrown hair. but i suppose if the ingrown is caused by shaving, it may help as i need not shave so often anymore.

    and no worries, hope to help and i'll update after my 2nd treatment in early august too! =)

    u have no ingrown hair? omg, so jealous. ingrown hair is actually like those stucked under ur skin right? anyway, by plucking, there will be ingrown hair also right? i heard ppl say that its good. but end up lidat.

    actually, what do they mean by unlimited. is every 1 month go for treatment?

    finer as in the hair isn't so thick... and softer. ;)

    yup, i heard plucking may cause ingrown, better to shave. BTW, if you go for IPL, you have to shave in between sessions and not pluck your hair.

    and form my understanding, "unlimited" means 2 months apart for the 1st year and 3 months apart for the rest of your life. the session has to be at least 3 months apart from the 2nd year onwards.

    Nice to read about your feedback. I am also thinking IPL for legs, so maybe try Regina. Prices seem bit cheaper. Have you have feedback on that? Though Musee seem more established.
