Interesting Message: Why Live Every Moment So Seriously?

You know the "God wants You to Know" app on facebook? I just came across this message and found it meaningful...

... that your seriousness feeds your ego, and keeps you away from God. Seriousness makes you dull and dry. It feeds your sense of self-importance, that becomes a mountain between you and God. Drop your seriousness, and open the path to God.

Have a break, learn to laugh. ;)

Korea Cherry Blossom Forecast 2011

Seoul Grand Park - Cherry Blossom, Seoul, Korea Rep.
This travel blog photo's source is TravelPod page: Soul of Asia

The Cherry Blossom expected blooming season in South Korea is out already. Will I get to see the sight above? Hmmm...

In Seoul, it's expected to start on 9th April and reached the peak on 15 April. This is supposedly 3 days earlier than usual as compared to previous years. I really hope that the peak will fall before14th April, our last day in Seoul.

I guess we're lucky to have given Japan a miss this year for Cherry Blossom viewing. Sometime in August last year, I insisted on visiting Japan instead of postponing our trip again 'til Spring 2011. After a tension-filled discussion, bf promptly booked our air tickets to ease the situation.

I'll visit the beautiful country of Japan soon again and will keep them in our prayers during this difficult time.

**Update**
This week 18th April will be the best week to be in Seoul for Cherry Blossom viewing. When I left Seoul on 14 April, most cherry blossom trees were just beginning to blossom.

Samjicheon Village in Damyang Region: Korea Trip Planning

We were planning for a day trip since we were going to spend 7 to 14 Apr 2011 in Seoul. Having been to Seoul once and not wanting to revisit Nami Island, Everland nor Mt Sorak, we decided to go somewhere scenic and soak in the beautiful sights of Korea. The plan to Jeju was cancelled 'coz we realised it'll be expensive and difficult for us to move around unless we join a local tour. And that, we do not want.

So, here's our new plan: to visit the slow, barely untouched and charming Samjicheon village in Damyang region. It's about 3-4 hours train ride from Seoul. And to go with the flow of being in the "slow" village, we dont want to rush and will stay 1 night in this lovely place.

It's also the place whereby a lot of Korean drama was filmed because of its beautiful scenery.

Here's the website for nearby Hanok accommodation and we selected the first one called House of Kim Yeong-Bong. It looks pretty nice and neat although I cannot understand what is written on its website. There's a phone number to call for reservation but I got my Korean friends to help give us reserve 2 rooms instead. The only thing to note that they don't accept credit card so we have to pay in cash for our rooms.
